Your advisor will help you design a program that will guide you through a timely graduation with coursework best fits your academic and professional goals.
Undergraduate students: Once you’re declared in Interdisciplinary Studies, you’ll generally meet with your advisor each October and each March to prepare for registration in the future semester. Advising takes place in person, via phone, or via email, depending upon student need.
Graduate students: We recommend you meet with your advisor each semester to review progress and plan for future enrollment.
Whether you are a currently declared Interdisciplinary Studies (IST) student, a prospective NKU student, or a current NKU student in a different major considering a transfer to our program, we look forward to supporting you however we can.
You will be advised in the new First Year Advising Hub, opening in Summer 2022! In the meantime, feel free to connect with us at ist@nku.edu with any urgent questions. If you are over 21 years old with less than 24 credit hours, you’ll be advised by Adult Learner Programs & Services. Again, we are here to help however we can; email us at ist@nku.edu if you need support.
Schedule a zoom, in person, or phone meeting (zoom or in person preferred) with a College or Arts and Sciences advisor. Send an email ist@nku.edu.
