Education: Ph.D. in 1993 from The Ohio State University in Materials Science and Engineering working on the “Energy and Structure of Interphase Interfaces.” In 1999, joined Princeton University as research staff scientist where he developed, tested and conducted research with microtesting systems investigating monotonic and fatigue loading properties of MEMS metallic and ceramic components.
Interests: Current research is focused on the use of automation in the fabrication of bio-smart structures, development of biomimicked composites for construction applications, production of biofuel from algae, and microtesting and characterization of MEMS structures.

Research Interests: My research involves designing mechatronic systems that integrate embedded systems, programmable logic controllers, ubiquitous computing, real-time operating systems (RTOS), wired/wireless communication, sensor networks, and actuator control in various industrial, commercial, and environmental applications. Furthermore, my research is concerned with the study of complex dynamic systems using computational intelligence/data mining methods.
