At Northern Kentucky University introductory physics is taught in "Studio Laboratories." The studio laboratories provide an opportunity for students to actively engage in the learning process. The new Science Center at NKU houses three spacious studio laboratories for introductory physics teaching. Each lab has the capacity to accommodate a total of 24 students at 8 stations. Each station has a computer, data acquisition interface, data analysis software and a full array of modern equipment for physics experimentation. The studio labs contain the state of the art audio/video equipment, allowing projection of essentially any audio/visual information.
