A minor in astronomy requires 27 to 29 credit hours. At least 9 of those credit hours must be 300 level or above. Astronomy is the study of the universe and its contents including planets, stars, galaxies, and clusters. A minor in astronomy would be particularly useful to those students majoring in the physical or biological sciences and math.
