Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP)
The NKU Department of Psychological Science Master's degree in Industrial- Organizational Psychology is designed to meet the core knowledge requirements of the discipline while providing students the flexibility of customizing their individual programs to suit their needs and interests and exploiting available learning opportunities in the community.
The curriculum is oriented toward practitioner development, emphasizing content issues and applied research over basic research skills. Students in the program receive a solid foundation in theories, methods, and research findings. Special attention is placed on accommodating the needs of part-time students. Classes are scheduled during evening hours.
Students who complete the program are prepared to pursue careers in human resources, management consulting, program evaluation, and market research. The MSIO Program has an advisory board that includes I/O practitioners and Human Resource Executives from a variety of organizations and industries in the greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. The primary role of the board is to ensure the realistic and relevant nature of our curriculum and to provide a primary connection to the community.
