Anthropology

Student Anthropology Society

Founded in 1975, the Anthropology Club, and its successor organization, the Student Anthropology Society, is open to any NKU student with an interest in anthropology.

The society sponsors speakers, events, field trips, trips to professional meetings, careers workshops, pizza parties, and ethnic dinners. To raise money the club holds bake sales and sells original T-shirts.

The Student Anthropology Society is a recent winner of the United Way Outstanding Service Award given by NKU Student Government. The awards plaque hangs near the departmental office in Landrum.

There are no dues and membership is free.

More than 100 NKU students have a major in Anthropology. While anthropology majors and minors are encouraged to join, membership is not limited to anthropology majors and minors.

For more information, visit the club on Facebook.

For upcoming events, see the Sociology, Anthropology & Philosophy Department Calendar.
