NKU May 2022 Commencement

Dear Graduate, 

To honor your hard work and accomplishments, we invite you and your family and friends to join us for May 2022 Commencement on Saturday, May 7, 2022 in BB&T Arena.

Morning Commencement Ceremony 

Saturday, May 7, 2022
Ceremony begins: 9:00 AM (doors open at 8:00 AM)

Anticipated end time: between 11:00-11:30 AM

Afternoon Commencement Ceremony

Saturday, May 7, 2022
Ceremony begins: 2:00 PM (doors open at 1:00 PM)

Anticipated end time: between 4:00-4:30 PM·         

• College of Health and Human Services·        
• Haile College of Business  

At this time, tickets are not required for your guests and there is no limit on the number of guests who may attend in person.   

Any NKU campus-wide COVID-19 guidelines in effect on May 7 will apply to commencement. Currently, facial coverings are required for all persons ages two and up indoors on campus, including in BB&T Arena.  

The ceremonies will also be streamed live on the commencement website at www.nku.edu/commencement for guests who wish to join virtually. 

Graduates do not have to RSVP in advance if you plan to participate (or not) in the commencement ceremony.

Get Ready for the Big Day at Grad Fair March 1-2:

Tuesday, March 1 and Wednesday, March 2, 2022 // 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

NKU Bookstore in the University Center 

Purchase your cap and gown, pick up honor cords, check your name as it will appear on your diploma and more! 

Full Grad Fair details available at nku.edu/gradfair. Attendance at Grad Fair is NOT required – visit nku.edu/commencement for information on how to pick up honor cords and answer other questions outside of Grad Fair hours.  

How to Purchase Caps and Gowns, Announcements:

Herff Jones is the approved NKU vendor for commencement items including caps, gowns, tassels, rings and announcements.  In order to receive the proper items, you are encouraged to purchase all commencement items in the NKU Bookstore or through Herff Jones directly. 

• Caps, gowns and tassels are available for purchase in person in the NKU Bookstore March 1 through May 6, 2022.  
• Caps and gowns, announcements, class rings and diploma frames may be ordered online at the Herff Jones website www.herffjones.com/college/nku  now through April 4, 2022 or you can talk to a Herff Jones representative in person at Grad Fair March 1-2, 2022.
