Phase 1: August 3-16, 2020
While F/S and students are still encouraged to continue virtual meetings and events, events on campus will be permitted beginning Aug. 3
These events must follow the Norse Nine safety guidelines
No more than 50 people may be present at any given event
Must be outdoors or in a suitable indoor space per the reevaluated maximum capacity to accommodate social distancing. Please note that all spaces, including outdoors spaces, should be officially reserved for tracking purposes.
Phase 2: August 17-December 18, 2020
Modifications to existing events and booking of new events during the fall semester are on hold pending confirmation of academic scheduling needs.
Priority reservations and scheduling will be given to academic purposes and student activities.
Once the fall academic schedule is finalized, existing fall semester events and meetings will be rescheduled as needed.
New reservations for the fall semester will open starting August 3, 2020 to schedule a campus location for a meeting, event or activity.
Phase 3: January-May 2021
Event reservations may be submitted for 2021, but please note requests are subject to change/cancellation based on spring semester academic needs and new pandemic guidelines.
Event requests including external attendees will be reviewed by a small committee on a regular basis. This group will confirm if the space is available and if the university can meet the expectations of the scheduling entity given public health and safety guidelines.
In addition to the normal room request, those requesting space with external attendees will need to submit the linked form at least 7 days prior to their event.
As always, any external (non-officially NKU sponsored) event that is coming to campus must work through Conference Management and have a contract. Contact Leah Koch at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on Conference Management services.
