Anxiety is a common response to stress. When anxiety interferes with test results, grades, classes or relationships and other areas of functioning, it can be a problem. This is an eight-session group for survivors of sexual violence. Members will learn and practice skills needed to manage negative symptoms resulting from their traumatic experience (s), including skills for increasing tolerance of intense emotional and physiological responses as well as coping with environmental triggers. Group times: Wednesdays 3:00-4:15 pm. Group will be limited to 5-10 members and will begin once filled.

Feeling stressed? Is talking about it hard? De-Stress with Art is a six-session Art Therapy group for students. Participants will engage in art activities to develop skills in managing emotions, stress reduction, and enhancing self-awareness. This group will focus on the process of expressing inner feelings into visual form, not the art product. No prior artistic experience or skill necessary, only a willingness to experiment and try art making. All art supplies provided. Group times: Wednesdays 1:00-2:30pm from 2/13/19-4/3/19 (Dates subject to change). Group will be limited to 5-8 members.
