An initial free psych testing consult is scheduled for 30 minutes. Testing appointments are usually scheduled for 2 hour blocks. The entire process usually takes 6-8 hours depending on the questions being explored, and begins with a thorough interview to determine your needs. Examiners use questionnaires, problem-solving, tests, and/or writing to help answer your questions.
After all testing sessions are complete, you can expect to discuss the results and receive feedback from your examiner within 4-6 weeks.
*Under special circumstances, adjustment to fee amount may occur.
HCSW can bill some insurance companies for testing fees depending on what is covered by your plan. Payment is expected at the time of the testing appointment. When payment is to be made out of pocket, at least half of the total charge is due at the time of the first appointment, with the remaining charge due by the time of the final testing appointment. Payment is accepted in the form of cash, check, credit card, or Allcard.
