2020 Fall Move-In Day

Students will be able to select a move-in appointment between August 10-16, 2020. August 10 arrivals are limited to participants of Honors, R.O.C.K.S., LAMP, SGA (arriving for training), and student employees in the Student Union. All other students will select an appointment between August 11-16.

There will be a maximum of 30 arrivals per hour on campus: 20 in the Boothe Village and 10 in the East Village.

Students will receive an email in their NKU email no later than the end of the day on Friday, July 24, 2020. Arrival appointments can only be scheduled using the link sent to individual student emails. Arrival appointments are first come, first served.

Each student may have no more than 2 adult helpers to move them in. No children will be permitted in the residence halls. Any guests beyond the two adult helpers will need to remain in the vehicle while the student moves in. After moving in, guests should immediately depart campus. Visitation is restricted in all residence halls for this year for the health and safety of our students and staff.

All students and guests MUST always wear masks during move-in. Masks may be removed when students and guests are fully in their personal vehicle or when students are alone in their assigned room (including with assigned roommates). Masks must be worn at all other times while on campus.

Rolling bins will be available at each check-in location for self-service use. There will be a self-sanitation station available for carts. Staff will not be able to assist with move-in.

Please do not arrive during a time other than your scheduled arrival time. If you do not have an appointment or arrive at a time that you did not schedule, you may be turned away until there is availability to check you in.

Driving Directions

To arrive at NKU’s campus, please follow the appropriate instructions:

From the North – Travel South on I71/I75 to I275 East or Travel South on I471 until it turns into US-27.
From the South – Travel North on I71/I75 to I275 East or travel North on US-27.
From the East – Travel West on I275 West. Exit at 74A (“US-27 South/Alexandria Pike”).
From the West – Travel East on I275 East.

Boothe Village Arrivals (Kentucky, Commonwealth, Cumberland, Norse, University Suites)

If arriving from I275 East, take exit 76 (“Three Mile Road”). Turn right on Three Mile Road and proceed to the roundabout. Take the second exit from the roundabout (“University Dr.”). Make your first right on Kenton Dr. and follow the signs to check in by Norse Commons.
If arriving from I275 West, take exit 74A (“US-27 South/Alexandria Pike”). Turn right on Louie B Nunn Dr. and proceed to the roundabout. Take the first exit from the roundabout (“University Dr.”). Make your first left turn on Kenton Dr. and follow the signs to check in by Norse Commons.
If arriving from I471 South, continue south as I471 turns into US-27 South/Alexandria Pike. Turn right on Louie B Nunn Dr. and proceed to the roundabout. Take the first exit from the roundabout (“University Dr.”). Make your first left turn on Kenton Dr. and follow the signs to check in by Norse Commons.
If arriving from US-27/Alexandria Pike headed North, turn left on Louie B Nunn Dr. and proceed to the roundabout. Take the first exit from the roundabout (“University Dr.”). Make your first left turn on Kenton Dr. and follow the signs to check in by Norse Commons.

East Village Arrivals (Callahan, Northern Terrace)

If arriving from I275 East, take exit 76 (“Three Mile Road”). Turn right on Three Mile Road and proceed to the first roundabout. Take the second exit from the roundabout (“University Dr.”) and continue to the next roundabout. Take the second exit from the roundabout (“University Dr.”) and continue to the next roundabout. Take the third exit from the third roundabout (“Martha Layne Collins Blvd.”) and proceed to the East Village Parking lot entrance and follow the signs to check in at Callahan Hall.
If arriving from I275 West, take exit 74A (“US-27 South/Alexandria Pike”). Turn right on Martha Layne Collins Blvd. and proceed to the East Village Parking lot entrance and follow the signs to check in at Callahan Hall.
If arriving from I471 South, continue south as I471 turns into US-27 South/Alexandria Pike. Turn right on Martha Layne Collins Blvd. and proceed to the East Village Parking lot entrance and follow the signs to check in at Callahan Hall.
If arriving from US-27/Alexandria Pike headed North, turn left on Martha Layne Collins Blvd., and proceed to the East Village Parking lot entrance and follow the signs to check in at Callahan Hall.

Instructions for Check-in Area

When you arrive at your designated check in area, please have the following information available:

Picture ID (Student ID for upper-class students, Driver’s license or state identification card for new students)
Face Mask
Appointment date and time

A housing staff member will review your picture ID and collect your materials, including your keys, your student ID (if you are a new student), your NKU issued face mask, and a copy of your Housing/Dining Agreement Terms & Conditions Addendum. You will then be given instructions on where to park and unload to move into your hall.

After moving into your hall, guests and family must depart immediately.
