NKU partners with Lewermark Student Insurance to provide high-quality, affordable health insurance for international students and scholars. All international students in F-1 status are required to have the NKU sponsored student health insurance, which will be charged to all students’ NKU billing accounts each semester. Estimated health insurance costs along with books and supplies are included in the financial section on each student's Initial I-20. More information on health insurance and health care in the United States is provided during spring and fall orientation week.
NKU allows waiver applications in very few circumstances. To review waiver criteria, please visit the Health Insurance Requirements page.
