The Boone County Historical Society and Boone County Public Library will be co-hosting an event on Thursday, November 16, featuring the late John Uri Lloyd (1849-1936) "in person."
From a Boone County Historical Society release:
"Lloyd, considered one of the most important pharmacists of his time, grew up in Boone County and founded the 19th century firm of Lloyd Brothers, Pharmacists, Inc.
Professor Lloyd authored a number of local-description novels about the Northern Kentucky area including "Stringtown on the Pike" and "Warwick of the Knobs." He also wrote a highly acclaimed science fiction work entitled "Etidorhpa," as well as numerous pharmacopeia publications.
Professor Lloyd will be with us by special arrangement with the Lloyd Library & Museum in Cincinnati."
The event is free and open to the public.
