CITE provides course development services to aid faculty who are building online courses of all types. A stipend is provided to compensate instructors who work with CITE to develop a course.
There are three 16-week course development cohorts throughout
the year. The fall and spring cohorts begin the first week of classes, and the
final cohort begins a few weeks into the spring semester. (Exact dates are
shared with chairs/school directors to help with planning.)
It’s time to build the course! Your instructional designer will work with you to answer questions and show you how to meet the standards in NKU's Development Guidelines.
If your course is an Academic Partnerships (AP) course, you will be assigned an AP designer as well as an instructional designer from CITE.
The contract represents a commitment to a set of standards for accessibility and pedagogy to ensure a quality learning experience for all students. The standards used to review course developments are below.
Instructors, Chairs and Deans can check on the progress of course developments they are associated with by accessing the Course Development Dashboard.
