The Regents Award is given to a senior student who has demonstrated professionalism and leadership within the University Community and who has an emphasis on continuation of graduate level work. A minimum grade point average of 3.3 is required. The student may show evidence of the intent to pursue further educational opportunities. This award will be presented upon completion of degree requirements. The award does not have to be given if the committee determines there are no suitable nominees during a particular year. The Northern Kentucky University Board of Regents sponsors this award.
If there is anything Will Haueter knows, it’s that nothing beats hard work. From his time spent on the diamond, serving on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee or implementing the One Love Program at NKU, Will has continued to be a leader on campus.
“Will has been an excellent representative of NKU and its athletic program over the last four years and exemplifies Norse Pride on a daily basis,” says his nominator. “He truly wants to improve the university and the athletics program while he is here.”
The North Canton native is earning his bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in business administration. Along with being heavily involved on campus he still has maintained a 4.0 GPA, winning numerous Horizon League academic achievements including the All-Academic Team and making the President’s Honors List seven times.
“NKU has provided me with a place to find out who I really am and grow into a person that the younger version of myself would be proud of,” Will says. “I have been so lucky to form so many great relationships that have affected me in a positive way.”
Will plans on continue his education at NKU and earn his accelerated masters degree in business administration.
