Subject: NKU Repositioning Update

Dear Colleagues:

Thank you to all those who could join us for a listening session over the past two weeks. Additionally, many have contributed thoughtful submissions to the web feedback form and via the reposition@nku.edu email. Please continue to engage in this important work.

This week, we have added some important updates to the repositioning website, including a timelinefor the weeks and months ahead of us, a section for frequently asked questions that we have heard during the listening sessions and more information regarding the new Academic Commons.

Academic Commons has been a frequent topic during the sessions, and it is important to be clear about the purpose and reasoning behind this endeavor. The Academic Commons will consolidate appropriate academic student support services into one administrative unit. Per the Campus Physical Master Plan, the Commons will eventually be located in one space in the Steely Library. The hope is to enable students to have convenient access to the institution’s academic support services.

More information will be available soon. In the meantime, I continue to encourage you to add your feedback as our work continues over the coming weeks. Plenty of space remains for the scheduled in-person and virtual financial update meetings, so please plan to attend.
