Application Guide

A step-by-step description of the online application process:

  1. The only form that needs to be printed is the Residency affidavit; all other forms can be viewed online or printed for personal use.
  2. Read all the instructions carefully.
  3. Make sure you know what documentation is needed for your specific situation. All the information on what is needed is listed on the Residency cover letter.
  4. Make copies of all the supporting documentation.
  5. Fill out the residency affidavit and attach all of the supporting documentation.
  6. Make sure you notarize your affidavit.
  7. Turn the affidavit and documentation in to the Office of the Registrar before the given deadline.

DEADLINES

The deadline to apply to change your residency status during the fall or spring semesters is 30 days after the first day of classes.

The deadline to apply to change your residency status during the summer semester is 10 days after the first day of classes in whichever summer term you are first registered.

NOTE: Residency is not retroactive, as it only applies to the semester you apply for residency.
