Director of African American Student Initiatives:

A native of Savoyard, KY in Metcalfe County,  Carlous possesses a Master of Education in Counseling and Personnel Services with a concentration in College Student Personnel and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Louisville. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Educational Leadership at Western Kentucky University. Carlous has over 15 years of professional hands-on experience in student services and student development. He has a strong understanding of departments such as Records, Admissions, Recruitment, Retention, Public Relations, and Marketing, Residence Life, Student Life, Greek Life, Developmental and General Advising.  As a professional, he mentors, motivate, and encourage students to succeed.

In his free time, Carlous enjoys the beach, aquariums, traveling, grilling, reality tv shows, and nature.

A native of Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Jennifer possesses a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Northern Kentucky University. Jennifer has been an NKU R.O.C.K.S. Scholar, Mentor, and now Coordinator. In the near future, Jennifer hopes to use her knowledge, hands-on experiences, and values she has learned as she serves in the medical field, helping communities in need while making impacting connections.
