In consideration of Northern Kentucky University’s COVID-19 plans, University Housing will be operating at a reduced capacity for the 2020-2021 academic year. University Housing will also adhere to established guidelines, ensuring there is quarantine space available on campus in the event of another viral outbreak.

University Housing is currently unable to accept room change requests. If this changes, we will notify students via their NKU email address.

There will be limited staff in the Housing office. Phone messages will be answered as soon as possible, but we will not be able to have someone answering the phones on a regular schedule. The most efficient form of communication with Housing staff will be via email through

Conforming to social distancing regulations, University Housing would like to remind all students that ALL visitation is restricted in the residence halls for the academic year. Further, all students are required to wear masks at all times in University Housing and on-campus, except when they are in their personal bedroom or the bathroom.
