LGBTQ History Month is held each year in October and focuses on the history of LGBTQA+ people and their experiences in the United States. LGBTQ History Month typically includes National Coming Out Day (Oct. 11), National LGBTQ Center Awareness Day (Oct. 19), and an LGBTQ History Month Keynote Speaker. Past speakers have included Laverne Cox, Patrisse Cullors, Michael Sam, Raffi Freedman-Gurspan, Karamo Brown, and Nina West.
