Campus Security Authority, also known as CSA, is defined as an official of an institution who has significant responsibility for student and campus activities or monitoring university property, or, an individual who a student could reasonably believe has the authority or responsibility. As part of this designation, CSA's are obligated to report allegations of Clery Act crimes that are reported to them in their capacity as a CSA. This definition includes but is not limited to, persons holding the following positions or roles at NKU.
CSA's are not responsible for investigating crimes, CSA's are only responsible for reporting crimes by completing the Campus Security Authority Incident Form or by calling University Police at (859) 572-5500.
Exemptions regarding CSAs: When a professional licenced mental health counselor, pastoral counselor and any other licenced counselor is functioning in those capacities, they are not considered CSAs.
