The Prep & Learning Module needed depends upon your major, your math ACT score, and your baseline placement score. The following guidelines may be helpful: 

Select Prep for Intermediate Algebra if: 

• you have a major outside of the College of Business or the STEM disciplines with a score less than 30. This module will help you place into a college-level math class to satisfy general education requirements. 

Select Prep for College Algebra if: 

• you have a major in the College of Business and your baseline score was less than 40. 
• you are a STEM major with a baseline score less than 40.

Select Prep for Pre-Calculus if: 

• you have a major in the College of Business and your baseline score was between 40 and 55. 
• you are a STEM major with a baseline score between 40 and 55

Select Prep for Calculus if: 

• you are a STEM major with a baseline score between 55 and 75 

Note: The cut-off scores above are only guidelines. Refer to the placement chart for exact scores needed to place into courses and use your best judgment when selecting a Prep & Learning Module.
