Student Learning

Assessment of five core competencies using a 3-point rubric for: does not meet expectation, meets expectations , or exceeds expectations.

The general education program, Foundation of Knowledge, provides a solid base to establish an executive dashboard metric that demonstrates student learning. General education courses are assessed by core competencies via a 3-column rubric that notes if a student (1) does not meet expectations, (2) meets expectations, or (3) exceeds expectations. This rubric framework is used for all competencies, which allows for a common metric to be used for all categories while allowing different competencies to be included annually.
