Your Commencement checklist:
What to do when you get to the arena
Remember, there is no rehearsal for graduates. There will be a large team of NKU volunteers at Truist Arena during commencement to direct graduates and answer questions.
Please review the very important Graduate Arrival and Lineup information to learn what to expect when you arrive. Doors will open to guests and graduates one hour before the ceremony begins. Graduates should enter Truist Arena via the Vault entrance for graduate check in.
Where to park
Parking is free of charge in all surface lots and garages on campus on May 5. Accessible parking is available on all levels of the Welcome Center Garage located across the street from the arena. Guests or graduates may also be dropped off in the circle drive at the main entrance of the arena. For a map or directions to NKU visit the Campus Maps and Directions page. Visit here for more information on accessible parking and seating.
Plan to attend the full ceremony
Each ceremony should last about two hours, so please share this information with your guests and plan accordingly. Graduates are expected to stay for the entire ceremony.
Can my guest watch commencement online?
All ceremonies will be streamed live on nku.edu/commencement for graduates or guests who are joining virtually. The live stream is not available until Sunday, May 5, 2024. Videos of the ceremonies will be available for on-demand viewing after the event under previous ceremonies and on the NKU YouTube channel. A PDF file of the commencement program will also be available on the website.
