Twice a year, CINSAM invites local 4th graders and their teachers to visit NKU for hands-on STEM acitivites and lessons led by NKU faculty & staff, as well as NKU pre-service teachers enrolled in Dr. Patti Bills' EDU 308 course.
Students from all across the region present their science projects at the SEFNK and compete for numerous awards for grades 4-12! In 2017, NKU hosted 140 students from 43 different schools in the Northern Kentucky region. This event is sponsored by SEFNK, NASA, Intel and more.

Every summer, CINSAM hosts a variety of camps for students from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Our summer camps are hosted by NKU faculty and staff on topics in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Scholarships are available for low income students.
Are you planning on studying at NKU? The STEM Scholars Program was created to help STEM majors at NKU excel in their field. Priority registration, faculty mentoring and peer mentoring are just a few of the perks you will get as a STEM Scholar.

Whether working in the College of Informatics’ cutting edge Cyber-Security lab, operating sophisticated scientific equipment or isolating chemical compounds to solve forensic mysteries; these summer academies will expose you to high-level subjects and experiences. Our academies will challenge you to use critical thinking and teamwork, while having fun and exploring topics that you love!
