For New Undergraduate Students starting in Fall 2025 and beyond

In fall 2025, NKU will be launching its 3 States, 1 Rate tuition model for new undergraduate students from Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. This is an exciting development for NKU as we continue to streamline the college admissions process, reduce the confusion and complexity surrounding college tuition and make education even more accessible for new students.

Cost To Attend

The Office of Student Financial Assistance is required to establish an annual cost of attendance (COA). The COA is reflective of the student budget which includes: tuition,  room and board, books, transportation and miscellaneous expenses. Student budgets are different based on a student's residency (Kentucky resident/non-resident).

Student budgets also differentiate based on undergraduate, graduate and law programs of study. Cost of attendance can be prorated depending on the length of the term.  Please contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance if you have any questions regarding your student budget.

For Undergraduates (Prior to Fall 2025)

The NKU Undergraduate Net Price Calculator is a guide to help families plan for educational costs at NKU. This calculator will estimate your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and serve as a resource for early financial planning based on cost of attendance figures and student aid eligibility requirements.

You must complete the FAFSA and be admitted to NKU to receive an official financial aid package. The calculator will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
