A Chance to Come Back and Give Back 

Apart from investing his time on behalf of the Steely Library, Greg and his wife, Sheila Edwards, have a long history of giving to the university. Recognizing the significant impact that NKU has had on their lives, the pair decided to develop a plan with long-term goals for their philanthropic giving. From this thoughtful consideration came the recent establishment of the Greg and Sheila Edwards Fund for Excellence, supporting the FoSL, the Steely Library itself and the College of Arts and Sciences.

Steely Library Leads the Way for Open Educational Resources at NKU

Northern Kentucky University has been selected to participate in the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) Institute on Open Educational Resources. NKU is the only university in the Commonwealth joining the year-long program designed to help institutions adopt accessible and affordable instructional materials.

Steely Library Adds Two New Databases

Music Online: Classical Scores Library  A reliable and authoritative resource of in-copyright scores to support teaching and research in classical music. This database contains more than 53,000 titles and 1.3 million printable pages of the most important scores in classical music.

IEEE Electronic Library (IEL) Contains over 5 million full-text documents in the areas of engineering, computing, and technology.

Diversity Makes Us All Better

That is why Steely Library is sharing favorite books from students in various NKU organizations. In this segment, we are featuring student scholars and mentors from NKU Latino Mentor Program (LAMP) students . All recommended reads are available as print or electronic copies and can be found by clicking the “book” tab on the library’s homepage.
