2024 HANA Database Migration

This technology project will move the myNKU/SAP application to an SAP HANA (High-performance ANalytic Appliance) database.  Moving to this modern database will allow us to process more data in a shorter amount of time.  This is primarily a technology project, although we will have some functional areas involved for testing.  All changes will occur in the backend.  Our users can expect no changes to the functionality in myNKU.

Friday, May 24 through Friday, May 31, 2024 NKU IT will migrate the databases that run the MyNKU system.

MyNKU will be completely unavailable from Friday, May 24 at 3:00 pm until Tuesday, May 28 at 6:00 am.

Not all services are expected to return to normal operations by Tuesday 5/28, but functionality will be added daily, with a full return to normal operations expected by Friday 5/31.  You can track the status of the migration here, below.

Canvas,Email, MS Teams, Zoom, OneDrive, and J: and K: drives will continue to operate while this system is down.  However, other processes including but not limited to course registration, drop/add, unofficial transcripts, tuition payments, program declaration/changes, and personal information changes will not be available while the migration occurs.

If you are ready to confirm your enrollment while MyNKU is offline, please visit https://connect.nku.edu/register/?id=6400f6c6-a6c6-4a02-84ac-5e2699c3269d and complete the form to finalize your enrollment confirmation for Fall 2024.

Also, while MyNKU is unavailable to receive scholarship acceptances during the migration, you can accept your scholarship during the system migration by visiting this site: https://nku.edu/acceptmyscholarship and completing the form.
