Lambda Alpha National Anthropology Honor Society

Outstanding anthropology students, faculty, and alumni are invited to join Lambda Alpha National Anthropology Honor Society. The NKU chapter, Gamma of Kentucky, was chartered in 1996.

Requirements for student membership include: 

  • At least 12 hours in Anthropology courses
  • At least 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA)
  • At least 3.0 GPA in Anthropology courses
  • One-time life membership
  • dues of $25 (covered by the Department)

NKU anthropology alumni may apply for membership with proof that they are professional anthropologists and payment of one-time life membership dues of $25.

A student who meets the above criteria may apply for membership after receiving fall or spring semester grades. A framed copy of the NKU Gamma Chapter of Kentucky charter hangs near the departmental office in Landrum. A list of all current NKU student, alumni, and faculty members appears on the Lambda Alpha Honor Roll.
