Bill Froude became the Director of Career Services in January 2011. He is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the department and has extensive experience in all areas of career services including:

• career advising and programs,
  
• cooperative education/internships,
  
• and employer relations and recruitment.

Prior to NKU, Bill served as the Associate Director of Career Services at Miami University (Ohio) for 11 years. He has over 20 years experience in higher education at NKU, Miami University and at Longwood University (Virginia). Additionally, he worked for five years as a K-12 school counselor at Nagoya International School in Nagoya, Japan. Bill holds a Master of Science in Education degree from Indiana University where he majored in both Counseling/Counselor Education and College Student Personnel Administration. He received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Valparaiso University. Bill is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), the Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers (Midwest ACE), the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the National Career Development Association (NCDA).

Lisa joined the Career Services team in May 2012 as a Career Advisor.  In addition to providing Career Advising, she teaches the career development course, CEP 101.  Lisa is passionate about helping students and alumni explore career, internship and co-op opportunities and loves helping students polish their resumes.

Lisa began working at NKU in 2008 as a Hall Director for University Housing and also taught UNV 101. Prior to coming to NKU, she worked at Miami University. As a student, Lisa attended Georgetown College where she double majored in Mathematics and Communication Media Studies. After graduating from Georgetown, Lisa studied College Student Personnel at Miami University where she received her Master of Science degree.

Jennifer Richmond (she/her/hers)

Jennifer joined the staff in January 2012. Her primary focus is on providing career advising and co-op/job-search assistance to students, teaching CEP 101, and workshop facilitation.

Previously, Jennifer served as a Career Advisor for Brighton Center, where she honed her career advising skills working with unemployed and underemployed adults in Northern Kentucky who were seeking re-training through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) grant. Jennifer graduated from Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Community Counseling from NKU. 

Sydney Humphrey (she/her/hers)

Sydney joined the Career Services team in May of 2019 as the Administrative Specialist and was promoted to First-Year Career Advisor in September 2021. Prior to starting at NKU, Sydney worked within the Department of Computer Science at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee. In 2021, Sydney graduated from NKU with a Master of Public Administration degree. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Morehead State University. Sydney is passionate about helping students find their purpose and unlock their potential. In Career Services, she and the First-Year Peer Career Coaches serve as a guide for first-year students as they navigate their major and career choices. 

Ashley Weingard (she/her/hers)

Ashley joined the Career Services team in July of 2023 as a Career Advisor. Prior to NKU, Ashley worked as a mental health counselor and as an adjunct instructor teaching Introduction to Public Speaking in the state of Ohio. Ashley earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Ohio University with a related area in Psychology. Ashley also earned two Master of Arts degrees from the University of Cincinnati in Communication and Mental Health Counseling respectively. Ashley is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Ohio. Ashley is devoted to instilling confidence in students and setting realistic expectations as they begin to become young professionals, and in assisting students/alumni of all ages as they navigate their respective job searches. In Career Services, she works closely with Lisa and the Peer Career Coaches to help students to maximize their use of job-search tools like Handshake and LinkedIn. She also offers mock interview appointments to help students sharpen their interviewing skills so they can feel confident going into their next interview.

Jasmine Smart (she/her/hers)

Jasmine joined the Career Services team in December 2021 as Administrative Specialist after graduating from Northern Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in psychology.  Jasmine spent three years working with Career Services as a Peer Career Coach, providing mock interviews, workshops, and other services to her fellow students. Beginning in June 2023, Jasmine supports both Career Services and the First-Year Student Success Hub. As the Administrative Specialist, she and the Student Assistants serve as the first points of contact for students, employers, faculty, staff, alumni and parents visiting or calling Career Services or the First-Year Student Success Hub. In addition, Jasmine provides office support for the Directors of Career Services and the First-Year Student Success Hub and staff of both offices.
