Dear Colleagues:

I write to remind you that the Faculty and Staff Family Picnic is this Friday, August 3, from 3:00pm-9:00pm at the Highland Heights City Building Park (176 Johns Hill Road). Whenever possible, employees can be released and offices closed at 3:00pm.  We know there are some exceptions to this such as those working student events and essential operations.  I encourage all employees to come to the picnic and enjoy the extra time off, and I hope those who must remain at work can join us later.

This year’s picnic will include a cornhole tournament, inflatables for the kids, Kona Ice, delicious food, raffle prizes and more! The classic rock band String Theory will be playing from 5:00-9:00pm. There will be a cash bar. Feel free to bring coolers and snacks; chairs and blankets are recommended.

This is a great opportunity for you to have some much-deserved fun and relaxation with your friends, family and colleagues. While every effort was made to pick a day over the summer when most of our employees could participate, it is impossible to schedule around every single event, registration, orientation, etc. For employees who must work during the picnic due to unavoidable work obligations, we applaud you for putting our students first and invite you to join us as soon as you are able.

RSVP at https://tinyurl.com/NKUPicnicRSVP.  Email staffcongress@nku.edu with any questions.

I hope to see you there.
