On Friday and Saturday, the Kentucky legislature will meet for its final two days of work. There is much at stake for NKU, and we need you to lend your voice in advocacy one last time.
Over the past week, HB200 (budget bill) and HB362 (pension relief bill) were vetoed by the Governor. The budget bill nets NKU approximately $2M through appropriation to the Performance Fund, and HB362 gives us an option to deal with the pension system that will otherwise increase our contribution by $13 million without this legislation (the equivalent of a $13 million budget cut).
We need you to contact Frankfort and urge the legislature to override these vetoes. You can do so by calling 1.800.372.7181 and by visiting www.investinsuccessky.com.
