Dear Colleagues:

Please join me on Tuesday, March 26, for the 2019 Benevolent Association Spring Soup/Chili/Dessert Cookoff, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Campus Rec AUX Gym. All proceeds from the luncheon benefit the Benevolent Fund.

The Benevolent Association is an employee-managed program that provides support to faculty and staff during emergencies and catastrophic illness, including monetary donations and donations of sick or vacation time for colleagues facing challenging times.

We say it time and again because it is true: Our people make NKU special. Before I even arrived on campus, I could see that ours is a kind and caring community. We take care of each other at this university, and your support of the NKU Benevolent Association is just one example of how each of you genuinely cares.

We wouldn’t be able to have this event without the generosity of our staff and faculty. For that, I thank you. Please consider volunteering an hour or two of your time to help with event logistics. You can also donate a crockpot of soup or chili or a dessert—drop-off will be outside of Campus Rec, from the service drive. The recommended donation is $5 or five hours, and all attendees with receive two perks punches from University Wellness.

There is still time to sign up to volunteer or to bring a soup or dessert. Please contact Emily Tucker for more information.

Through the Benevolent Fund, we are able to support our community members when they need it most. Together, we make a difference. I hope to see you next week!

Sincerely,
Ashish
