Dear Colleagues:
The Core Team would like to invite you to take a first look at the draft of our Success by Design strategic framework during an open forum on Wednesday, March 20, in the Student Union Ballroom from 9-10 a.m.
Over the past several months, the Core Team, with outstanding support from the Resource Team, has developed the framework based on your input from our TalkShops, Whiteboard Wednesdays and online surveys.
We thank you for generously taking time to share with us your ideas about how we continue to advance student success around the three pillars of access, completion, and career and community engagement. In January, many of us were inspired by the documentary “Unlikely,” which showed us the challenges that many students face in pursuit of reaching their education and career goals. We thank those who took the time to watch the film and share additional their thoughts with us.
Although we are sharing this draft of the strategic framework now, we also recognize that the listening must never stop. We must be open to continuous feedback in order to evolve and advance student success aligned with the needs of our region. So before we present the framework to the Board of Regents, we would like to take this opportunity to solicit any additional feedback and suggestions you may have. Your ideas are and will continue to be critical to the future success of our students, this university and our region.
