Dear Colleagues:

As we look ahead to the fall semester and the implementation phase of the strategic framework, it has become clear that we must pay special attention to all the elements that help design a welcoming NKU experience to create a sense of belonging for students, faculty, staff and the community.

After careful thought and deliberation, the decision has been made to redesign the position of Special Advisor to the President for Inclusive Excellence into the position of Chief Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer (CDO) and Title IX Coordinator. Reporting directly to me, this individual will help align and oversee campus-wide diversity, equity and inclusion efforts to enhance the overall student experience and foster an inclusive, welcoming and engaging campus climate. In addition this individual will coordinate Title IX investigations and compliance.

The search for this position will commence immediately and a complete position description and call for nominations and applications will be posted by the end of the week with an approximate start date of October 1, 2019. Kathleen Roberts will work on special projects through December 31, 2019.

Please join me in thanking Kathleen for her contributions to advancing our inclusive excellence efforts and for her continuing support of the Office of the President.

Sincerely,
Ashish
