Dear Colleagues:
After much thought and consideration, I have determined that the Division of Student Affairs requires different leadership to implement and deliver on the outcomes of our strategic framework - Success by Design. Dan Nadler will serve as Special Advisor to the President for Student Success Initiatives while we conduct a national search for the next Vice President for Student Affairs.
In the interim, I am pleased to announce that Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement and Dean of Students Arnie Slaughter and Dannie Moore, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, will share the responsibility for administering the Student Affairs division. Arnie has served on the “Fuel the Flame” Strategic Planning Committee in 2013-14, as the Staff Regent on the Board of Regents from 2015-2018 and as the Former Director of University Housing. Dannie Moore is currently serving on the Success by Design Strategic Advisory Group. He also has served on the Presidential Search and Selection Committee and is the former Director of African American Student Affairs. University Police will report directly to the Office of the President.
