Dear Colleagues:

Please join me in supporting our 2020 Combined Giving Campaign, which supports both the United Way of Greater Cincinnati and Community Shares of Greater Cincinnati. We participate in this campaign annually with the goal of making community giving as convenient as possible for you. These two organizations serve hundreds of thousands of area residents and invest millions of dollars to assist the most vulnerable among us. This campaign is specifically structured to bring together the collective power of these organizations in one concentrated giving effort.

Community organizations supported by United Way and Community Shares have direct ties to NKU. For example, the Lincoln Grant Scholar House is a United Way agency that partners with single parents who are in college or who would like to pursue a college degree. They are committed to a two-generational approach supporting both the parent and child. One current NKU student moved into the scholar house program in February of this year. Her name is Sabrina and she a mother of five currently pursuing her degree in elementary education. See the link below for a discussion between Sabrina and Dean Ginni Fair about how Lincoln Grant Scholar House is helping Sabrina continue her education at NKU.

I hope you will join me in contributing this year at whatever level you are able. Soon you will receive a personalized link from UnitedWay.ePledge@uwgc.org offering you the opportunity to contribute to United Way. Online pledging is handled through the ePledge system and can be initiated by clicking on the personalized link provided in your email. You can learn more about the efforts of United Way of Greater Cincinnati by clicking here.

Giving to Community Shares is also easy and convenient. Simply visit their pledge site to make your online pledge. You can learn more about the great work they do by clicking here.

Both pledge systems are available now. Our campaign runs Nov. 2-11.

Thank you in advance for supporting the important work of United Way and Community Shares and for all you do for our community.

Sincerely,
Ashish
