Dear Colleagues:

We are just four weeks away from the beginning of the new academic year. This past summer has been unlike anything we have experienced, but I hope that you and your families and friends have managed to remain healthy and safe. We are looking forward to resuming on-campus activities with a combination of face-to-face, hybrid and online class offerings. The safety, health and well-being of the campus community is of the highest priority, and we will continue to monitor the state of the pandemic in the region and consult with public health officials and guidelines from the Governor’s office, as well as the CDC.

To celebrate the start of a new academic year, I invite you to join me virtually at Fall Convocation on Monday, August 10, 2020, at 1 p.m. This will be a modified version of our traditional convocation, one without the usual gathering of the faculty, staff and students in the Gordon and Thelma Martin Ballroom inside the James C. and Rachel M. Votruba Student Union.

However, we will still have an opportunity to look back at how far we’ve come together during these unprecedented times and look ahead to the coming year in which we will continue to strive to help NKU students reach their educational goals.

Please make plans to join us online that afternoon for this important event. I look forward to sharing this exciting time of year with you.

Sincerely,
Ashish
