Dear Campus Community:

It is with mixed emotions that I inform you that Dr. Ande Durojaiye, our Interim Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, has accepted the position of dean of Miami University Regionals, College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science (CLAAS).

He will begin his new role on July 1. I want to thank Ande for his nearly four years of service to NKU, our students and this region.

Prior to his leadership as interim provost, Ande served three years as Vice Provost for Undergraduate Academic Affairs here, leading our student-centered efforts in undergraduate education, academic advising, adult learning, testing, first-year programs and much more. During that time, he oversaw many accomplishments including:

  • The establishment of the Young Scholars Academy
  • The River City Promise program and other expanded K-12 Outreach
  • Increased community college partnerships
  • The expansion of services for adult learners through ALPS
  • The work of the First-Year Experience Task Force
  • Partnerships with regional companies such as IONAPEX to increase opportunities for post-traditional learners.
  • Service as liaison the Council for Postsecondary Education

I am grateful to have Ande continue to lead the Academic Affairs Division over the next few months and congratulate him in his next adventure.

Please join me in wishing Ande well.

Sincerely,

Ashish Vaidya
