Welcome back to a new year!
Next week we will hold virtual open forums for two candidates for the position of Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. The dates for the campus open forums are January 12 and 14. Both forums will take place at 9:00 am. Details about the candidates and the links to the open forums will be sent on Monday for the 1st candidate and on Wednesday for the 2nd candidate.
As I mentioned in my message from last month, selecting the candidate that has the greatest potential to advance NKU’s mission and help fulfil our vision of becoming an even more student-ready, regionally engaged institution, is of utmost importance. We have advertised the position as “open until filled,” which means that if promising new candidates emerge, I will request that the Search Advisory Committee review those candidates as well, to determine if they should be considered for further review leading up to campus open forums. Again, if we need to be more flexible in our timeline, then we will do so.
Your engagement and participation in the open forums is critically important as the feedback received will be reviewed and considered before a final decision is made.
