We have an established trademark licensing program, which is managed by Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) and assists with the protection and promotion of the University's name, logos and word marks.
Any person or manufacturer interested in using our marks and logos on products (for resale, internal or personal use) must receive permission from either NKU Marketing and Communications or CLC, typically through a formal licensing agreement. This ensures that the product is of good quality and that the artwork is done in a manner that both adheres to the graphic guidelines of the University and reflects positively on NKU; see institutional and athletics brand standards.
All orders must be placed with a licensed vendor. All promotional item orders should be submitted with one of three preferred vendors listed on our licensing page.
Before a licensed vendor can produce merchandise, they must submit an artwork approval request to our trademark licensing program. This is done via an online tool called Brand Manager 360. When placing an order for products, please remind your vendor that they must receive design approval from NKU before going to production.
