Handoff criteria for First Year Hub to College Advisor
Students who meet the following criteria will be handed off to a college advisor after initial onboarding with a First Year Hub advisor.

Note: Once assigned to a college advisor, students will not return to the First Year Student Success Hub for advising.
Advising for graduate students is handled by faculty in the department of the academic program. For more information you may contact the Office of Graduate education.

Honors students in their first-year will see the First Year Student Success Hub Honors Advisor.

After your first year you will work with the Honors college and your college advisor based on your major. Find your College's Advising Center here.
Students who enter as Exploratory Studies: Your First Year Student Success Hub advisor will work with you until you are ready to declare a major and transition to a college advisor.
Students should work with the The Adult and Transfer Center.
Students who are School Based Scholars (high school dual credit) should work with the First Year Student Success Hub Special populations advisor.
Visiting students (for example if taking a single course only) do not need to see an advisor, and should consult with The Adult and Transfer Center.
Students who return and are Exploratory majors or who had most recently been working with a first-year advisor will connect with the First Year Student Success Hub advisor who will assess and work with you until you are ready to transition into a college advisor.
Students who return with a declared major and who had most recently been working with a college advisor will connect with your college advisor based on your major. Find your college's advising center here.
Students who are taking dual credit classes on NKU's campus should see the Special Populations advisor from the First Year Student Success Hub.
