Every new venture comes with excitement and trepidation. This is often the case when you step into the unknown. New rules, new expectations, new people and policies to guide you through one of the most influential transitions of your life. The hardest part is knowing where to begin. That is where we come in. We are, the First-Year Student Success Hub at NKU.  The “Hub” as we like to call it is your go-to connection on campus that provides guidance and support to make the most out of your first-year experience.

A few key components of the First-Year Student Success Hub are:

  • All traditional first-year students will receive academic advising through the First-Year Student Success Hub.
  • Your assigned advisor will help you with course registration, major and career exploration, curriculum guidelines for your current or intended major, and connecting you with various campus resources based on individual needs.
  • Advisors will help create a success plan including academic, career, and financial components.

The First-Year Student Success Hub is here to make the leap from high school to college as smooth as possible. Having a centralized unit at your disposal to ensure that happens is the best way we know how to serve you. We’ve got your back! We look forward to seeing you in the “Hub.”
