Diversity Dashboards w/ Institutional Research Training

The Office of Institutional Research offers a number of interactive dashboards that allow stakeholders to review student data, such as enrollment, degrees conferred, retention, graduation and course enrollments. These dashboards include several dimensions; first-generation, race/ethnicity, gender, low income status (Pell recipient), and many others. This data can be disaggregated by college, department and program major. IR also provides dashboards on faculty and staff retention by college/division level. IR is happy to provide training on these tools to aid in collecting the data needed to assess equity gaps and trends. Currently, IR provides tutorials within Canvas on each of its tools and would gladly enroll those who are interested in the training course.

Inclusive Teaching Academy

The 2022 Inclusive Teaching Academy will be a two-day immersion into the foundational knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for faculty who wish to lead and instruct through a lens of racial equity and inclusivity while creating a learning environment that fosters a sense of belonging for every student. In this two-day workshop, it is our goal to provide participants an opportunity to increase their own awareness about concepts related to cultural and learning diversity through discussion and interaction, as well as to identify the conditions and strategies necessary to create relevant and engaging lessons that enable diverse students to matriculate and graduate.
