8:30am ET Tuesday 1/20/2026: Issues reported for Qualtrics login
9:20am ET Update 1: The issue is more widespread that just Qualtrics. We are troubleshooting an LDAP authentication issue. Some other affected services include (but not limited to):
1:00pm ET Update 2: The LDAP issue has been resolved and all applications and services that depend on LDAP returned to normal service. Please contact the helpdesk at x6911 for any further technical issues.
IT was alerted of users not able to login to the Qualtrics tool. We are investigating this issue and will post here with updates as we try to identify the issue and resolve it ASAP.

IT will upgrade and migrate Horizon VDI (virtual desktop) services to new hardware. The system will be intermittently unavailable during this time.

All Card and Food Service Operations will be upgrading to a new system over the holiday break. To accommodate the upgrade, the All Card Office will be closed Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, 3pm - Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, 8:30am. During that time, All Card Dollars will not be available, and there will be limited dining operating hours and locations that will accept credit cards only.

The CVC cash-to-card machine in Steely Library will permantnetly close on December 11th. All cash-to-card deposits will be handled through the All-Card office beginning January 5th, 2026.

11:00am ET: TeamDynamix, https://servicedesk.nku.edu is currently experiencing a partial outage. This outage is on the provider's cloud service, but affects NKU's ability to login and use the system.
An unexpected DNS issue caused an outage that affected several online services including access to myNKU.
This issue started Thursday, November 6, at approximiately 9:30am and was resolved by 10:25am.
All campus online services resumed normal operation by 10:30am ET.

UPDATE: As of 10/28/2025 11:54pm ET patching has completed, and the VPN has been returned to service.
NKU IT will be applying a critical VPN patch tonight, October 28th at 11:00pm. The service is expected to be unavailable 1 hour, and restored by 12:00am on October 29th.

As previously communicated by NKU Facilities Management, all non-residential buildings on the Highland Heights campus will be closed and locked from Thursday, May 22 at 12:00 p.m. through Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day) due to the scheduled power outage. Remember to completely power off all computers, printers, copy machines, and lighting.
During the power outage, core online IT systems (e.g. myNKU, Canvas, email, MS Teams, Zoom, VPN, etc.) are expected to remain fully operational; however, computers and labs in campus buildings will be offline and inaccessible.

We will be working to address a technical issue with the NKU virtual desktop environment (https://view.nku.edu) services that serve faculty, staff, and students.
The system will be taken offline for one(1) hour, starting at 4:30pm ET, returning to service at 5:30pm ET.
If you are working in a virtual desktop session, please try to complete your work by 4:00pm ET as a safe margin, and no later than 4:25pm ET else unsaved work may be lost.

4/4/25 *Resolved, 4/4/25 3:13pm* - We are currently working on an issue in the myNKU system which is causing some services that produce PDF documents to fail. This functionality will be down until 5pm ET, Friday 4/4/25 (estimated). This includes transcript, registration, and other similar documents that are generated as PDFs from the system. All other myNKU services are unaffected. Please check back for updates.
