Connect to the VPN
If you are off campus, connect to the VPN.
If you are on campus and connect to the NKU wireless network, please connect to VPN before running the steps below.
Map Network Drives
1. From your desktop, click "Go" from the toolbar at the top of your screen. Select "Connect To Server."
2. Type in the server name and your username as described below. Then click "Connect."
- Faculty and Staff
- Personal Drive Access: smb://fileserv3.hh.nku.edu/username$
- Include "$" after your username
- Department Drive Access: smb://hh.nku.edu/Departments$
- Users with their network drive previously mapped using smb://fileserv3.hh.nku.edu/Departments$ will need to update the mapping
- Access to Personal Drives (J Drive) will not be affected
- Remember to include "$" after "Departments"
- To access Web Drive: smb://sappho.nku.edu/username
- Do not include “$” after your username
- Students
- Web Directory Access: smb://studenthome.nku.edu/username
- Do not include "$" after your username
- Network Drive Access: smb://fileserv2.hh.nku.edu/username$
- Include "$" after your username
3. The network drive will show in a new window.
