Connect to Your Campus Network Drive (Windows)

Connect to the VPN

If you are off campus, connect to the VPN.

Map Network Drives

1. Right-click on "This PC" on your desktop. Select "Map Network Drive."

2. In the Drive drop-down list, select a drive letter not in use by your computer, such as J:.  In the Folder field, enter the server name and your username as described below.

• Faculty and Staff
  • To access Personal Drive: \\fileserv3.hh.nku.edu\username$ 
    • Include "$" after your username
  • To Access Department Drives: \\fileserv3.hh.nku.edu\Departments$ 
    • Remember to include "$" after "Departments"
      
  • To access Web Drive: \\sappho.nku.edu\username
    • Do not include “$” after your username

• Students
  • To access your web directory: \\studenthome.nku.edu\username
    • Do not include "$" after your username
  • To access your network drive: \\fileserv2.hh.nku.edu\username$
    • Include "$" after your username.
     
• If you are using a non-NKU computer:
  • Check “Connect using different credentials" at the bottom of the window, and enter “nku\” before your username
    • For example:
      • "\\fileserv3.hh.nku.edu\username$"
      • When prompted for your username, enter "nku\username"

3. The network drive will show in a new window.
