It’s almost time to take that final walk across the stage to get your diploma.

For most of you, this is your first time graduating from Northern Kentucky University so it’s important to be prepared. Here are a few tips to help you get through the day.

Don’t forget to bring your cap and grown on the day of graduation
That might sound obvious, but make sure it’s hanging up and ready to go (free of wrinkles!) Note: It’s not mandatory, but you can decorate your cap to add a little bit more to your outfit.

Comfort is everything

Wear comfy shoes. Heels are great, but if you have a hard time walking them, it’s better to go with flats.

Dress for success

Wear something nice underneath your gown. You’ll feel more put together and confident walking across the stage.

Don't get bogged down

Give any valuables you don’t want to carry to mom, dad or a loved one! It’ll be one less thing to worry about.

Don't rush!

Get there early. Doors open an hour before start time for both ceremonies.

Go social!
