“Judith Daar is Chase Law's first female dean. From the moment she arrived on campus, she demonstrated how important it is to have women in leadership positions. It goes without saying that she is smart and sharp; she had to be those things to get to this level. But what may go unnoticed is that she is passionate, kind, inspiring, fair and open to looking at things in novel ways. These are qualities of a valiant NKU woman, and I am grateful that I get to be here during her tenure!"

What is your favorite thing about NKU?
Since I arrived last July, I have felt warmly welcomed by this close and supportive community. My new NKU family is my favorite thing about this special place.

Where is your favorite spot on campus? What makes that spot so special?
In the summer and fall months, the expansive lawn area across from Nunn Hall is beautifully green and full of blooming flowers and trees. In the winter and spring time, I enjoy visiting the SOTA space for plays and art shows. Both of these places offer inspiration and opportunity for reflection.

What is the first word that comes to mind when you think about NKU
Community.

What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
Currently, I spend much of my free time traveling to see my family in California. During these visits I use my best powers of advocacy to convince them to move to the NKY area!

What is your greatest passion?
Of course I have great passion for my husband and four sons. Their love and support have enabled me to pursue my dream job of serving as the dean at Chase.

Tell us anything else about yourself and/or NKU that you want folks to know.
For me, the true privilege of leadership is the opportunity to help others be their best selves. I hope to lift up those now within the Chase community so that they enjoy the fruits of their work and dedication.
