What is your favorite thing about NKU?
My favorite thing about NKU is how there is a niche of people who truly care and are passionate about helping our students excel. Love that we have the opportunity to be we can truly be as an institution without having to be confide to a box.

Where is your favorite spot on campus? What makes that spot so special?
Any place where students, faculty and staff of color can be themselves… and Starbucks. There is nothing better than seeing people like share their experiences with one another and build long lasting relationships. What makes that spot so special? Sense of belonging and coffee, of course. I'm a Latinx female who loves her coffee and her students!

What is the first word that comes to mind when you think about NKU?
Potential.

What is your favorite way to spend your free time?
Nothing better for me than a good book and/or movie and spending time with my furry babies (Myka &Cooper) and my awesome husband.

What is your greatest passion?
Helping fight inequalities. Being that voice for others. I truly feel happy and fulfilled when I know I fought for what was right and being able to help others.

Tell us anything else about yourself and/or NKU that you want folks to know.
Never thought I would be in higher education. Thought I was going to become a scientist. Almost did. I am excited to be a scientist turn educator. Students helped me find my path, and I am grateful that I can now be there for them.
